The Tyranny of a Totalitarian

I sometimes find myself immobile, which those of you who know me is more than unusual. Yet, I am weighed down by the history of Totalitarian (42) Tyranny (13), as if I’ve known it forever. And yet, until now, totalitarianism was just stories—historical tales of terror. A mirror unto human behavior most often, it seems, at its worst. Alas, the reflection I see today seems to annihilate much of human goodness and blinded to goodness, tyranny arises. Alas the tyrannical totalitarian we put in the White House knows well the playbook. But, perhaps not well enough.
The totalitarian shows Hostility (16) to (2) Reality (20) reality as if reality is a “big beautiful” dream. Who does not believe in dreams? And so, the populous dreams with him. 38
And then come the Repetitive (54) Lies (8). This is the stage where the totalitarian has his greatest momentum. The lies begin to shape mediated reality, and he sees his greatest gains. 62
Yet, tyranny is built on Magical (24) Thinking (17) and thus, the totalitarian’s delusions becomes his greatest weakness. Cracks appear. But they are sustained only if the opposition continues to bring pressure. 41
As the cracks widen, the totalitarian turns to Self (7) Deifying (17). As if, as a king he can prevent the cracks from shattering beneath him. Yet, in his self-deification citizens begin to see the truth. They see the tyrant. 21
Truths matters. Without it, Democracy cannot stand.
