However, as we celebrate the first Labor Day under the current Trump administration, it is noteworthy thatlabor historians and union leaders note that this administration has taken the most anti-union measures in U.S. history.

The administration has ended collective bargaining for 4 out of 5 federal workers, represented by unions at more than a dozen federal agencies. These include workers who inspect food to prevent outbreaks of disease, conduct research on respiratory hazards faced by mine workers, and keep nuclear power plants safe for the public.

While the Trump administration claims to speak for American workers, Everett Kelley (president of the American Federation of Government Employees) describes their actions against federal workers as a “setback for fundamental rights in America.”

Now, many of the very people who voted for him find themselves in... unions (10) now (10) under (12) siege (18).
