Constitution Day

Today, September 17, is the day set aside, by the delegates of the Constitutional Convention in 1787, to the mark the signing of the United States Constitution.

It begins, “We The People … in order to from a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty…

Today, our union is less perfect, lacking in justice for all, domestic tranquility has vanished, the arms of defence has been turned against citizens, our welfare has eroded and the blessings of liberty seem to apply only to those who kiss the ring.

God help us all.
